The reappointment of Mrs. Louis H. Levin as a member of the School Board was announced today by Mayor William F. Broening. Her term had expired March 1, but she has been serving as a holdover member since.
In his announcement, the Mayor pointed out that Mrs. Levin, by competent service, had merited continuance in office, and that he had renamed her in accord with his pledge to the people to keep politics out of the school system.
Prior to his death in 1923, Mrs. Levin’s husband was one of the most prominent and influential philanthropic workers of the city for fifteen years. He was widely known as executive secretary of the Associated Jewish Charities of Baltimore. Mrs. Levin has had considerable experience with educational matters.
