The fifth annual session of the Avukah summer school will be held this year at Glen County Lodge, Glen Spey, N. Y., for two weeks beginning Jun. 20. All college students are eligible to register in the summer school, in which will be discussed various phases of Zionism, with noted lecturers presiding.
Under the heading of “Zionism and World Chaos,” the following subjects will be discussed: “The World Crisis and Its Effect upon the Jewish People,” “The World Tomorrow: The Future of Israel,” “Zionism and Jewish Survival” and “Palestine Today.”
Invitations have been tendered to outstanding leaders in Zionism to deliver lectures at the sessions. Included on the list of invited lecturers are James Waterman Wise, Mitchell Salem Fisher, Horace Kallen, Stephen S. Wise, Judah L. Magnes, Kurt Lewin, Justine Tulin, Mordecai M. Kaplan, Jacob Weinstein, Milton Steinberg, Maurice Samuel, Leo Honor, Max Kadushin, Louis Lipsky, Paul P. Gourrich, Goldie Meyerson, Jacobde Haas, Abraham Goldberg, Henry Hurwitz, Chaim Weizman, Alfons Goldschmidt, Waldo Frank, A. W. Binder, Hans Kohn and Israel Brodie.
