The Jewish Agency executive has approved a budget of 201, 000, 000 Israeli pounds ($110, 667, 000) for the fiscal year commencing April 1, Dr. Dov Joseph, treasurer of the Agency, announced today.
The largest single item in the budget is 77 million pounds for agricultural settlement. The schedules provide 11, 500, 000 pounds for immigration; 11,500, 000 for the absorption of immigrants; 19, 500, 000 pounds for housing for immigrants; 10, 000, 000 for Youth Aliyah; and 4, 600, 000 for the work of the Keren Kayemeth and the Keren Hayesod, the Zionist reclamation and rebuilding funds.
