The Jewish Agency today announced that 450 of the 1,000 immigration certificates received from the Palestine Government this week have been allocated to displaced Jews in camps in Germany and Austria. The remainder have been distributed mainly in European countries.
Of the new immigrants, 550 will be children and young people. Thirty visas have also been allocated to applicants in the United States and 45 each for Britain and France.
The Official Gazette carries the decree granting 4,500 certificates under the immigration schedule from Dec. 15 through Mar. 14. Of this number, 300 will go to Arabs and other non-Jewish immigrants.
