The Jewish Agency is currently building eight new settlements in the Western Negev for 900 immigrant families, M. Talman, director of the Negev Authority, announced today.
He said that the new settlers in the Negev urgently needed physicians, teachers and agricultural instructors. More livestock and irrigated lands will soon be given these settlers, Mr. Talman revealed, and a winepress will soon be built near Beersheba for the grapes they are growing.
