A proposal that the World Zionist Congress become “a kind of a second chamber” of the Israel Parliament was made here today by Meir Grossman, veteran Rovisionist leader, at a reception tendered in his honor by the Jewish Agency.
Mr. Grossman insisted that such a move was necessary to enable the Zionist movement to influence the policies of the Jewish state. At another meeting, called by the central committee of the local Rovisionist Party, Mr. Grossman explained his position in the current dispute within the Revisionist-Herut Party in Israel.
