Jewish Agency Increases Its Budget for Settling New Immigrants

The Jewish Agency has decided to increase its settlement department budget by 5,500,000 Israeli pounds, loaned to the Agency from the Israeli Government’s Development Budget, to handle the current increase in immigration, it was disclosed today.

Avraham Harman, member of the Jewish Agency executive, announced at the same meeting of the executive that the Agency information department film division would expand its program to produce educational films for Jewish youth in non-Israeli communities. The department now makes mostly information and publicity films.
