Fishman, member of the Jewish Agency executive, arriving here today from Palestine, told a press conference that “nobody is satisfied with the present situation in Palestine, least of all the Jews.” He emphasized that the establishment of a Jewish state in Palestine would lead to “all around improvement.”
Dr. Moshe Sneh, Jewish Agency leader who left today for Palestine, told the press that Jews will not participate in the London conference on Palestine, which is to resume next month, unless the British Government agrees that the purpose of the parley discussions is the establishment of “a viable Jewish State.” He condemned the Irgun Zvai Leumi and the Stern group as bodies which “have no right to exist.”
U.S. Congressman Joseph Clark Baldwin, representing the Political Actions Committee for Palestine in New York, told a press conference last night that he was received by Prime Minister Attlee who told him that the British Government is determined to find a satisfactory solution of the Palestine problem.
