Officials of the Jewish Agency here today formally invited the Israel Government to use offices in the new wing of the Agency building until the Government’s administration center is completed in the western suburbs of the new city. The offer was made because of the housing shortage here.
Israel Premier David Ben Gurion last night told the Parliamentary Legislation Committee that the government did not favor the immediate adoption of a state constitution, preferring for the present the passage only of basic legislation. The committee voted to submit the Constitution issue to a plenary meeting of the Knesset when it resumes meeting here December 26.
Another milestone in Jewish history was passed today when the Israel Knesset held its final session in Tel Aviv. After the last item of business was disposed of, the Speaker, Josef Sprinzak, announced that the next session would be held on December 26 in Jerusalem.
