Jewish Agency Opens Plenary Session; Considers Increase in Budget

The Jewish Agency executive opened a plenary session today and turned its attention first to budgetary problems. Three meetings were held today and the session will continue tomorrow

Treasurer Dov Joseph proposed a supplementary budget of several tens of millions of pounds, to add to the original record 187,000,000 budget. The new funds will be needed to cover additional expenses incurred in the movement, absorption and housing of tens of thousands of refugee immigrants who are arriving over and above the number originally scheduled.
