A great collection of Italian Renaissance art, formerly owned by Gustave Dreyfus of Paris, who sold it to the Duveen Brothers, is soon to come to this country. The collection, which is reported to have sold for $5,000,000, contains several Cossa portraits, a bust ascribed to Leonardo da Vinci and an important series of medals and plaques. Gustave Dreyfus, who started the collection, was born in 1837 and died in 1914. For fifty years the collection remained in his private apartment in Paris, and during that time was a centre of attraction to art connoisseurs.
