Recordings of the Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services will, for the first time, be made available this year to the Jewish blind, it was announced today by the Jewish Braille Institute. The High Holy Days liturgy has been recorded on five long playing records, and 500 sets will be shipped free of charge to sightless Jewish men and women in the United States and Canada, the Institute announced.

The project was made possible by a $2,500 grant from Ivriah, an organization devoted to the advancement of Jewish religious education, whose president is Mrs. Nathan Berk-man. Plans are now being made to extend this service next year to the blind in Israel and other countries, according to Mrs. Allen I. Edles, acting president of the Jewish Braille Institute.
