What seems to be an attempt of Catholic monks to convert a Jewish boy to Catholicism, held the attention of Jerusalem Jews yesterday.

The boy escaped from the Catholic convent “Ratisborn”, crying, “Save me, they want to baptise me.”

Crowds gathered and quarreled with the monks who pursued the boy. However, he escaped and disappeared in the crowd.
