Morris F. Shaffer of Boston, a student in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, is one of the few Jewish boys named a Rhodes Scholar for 1930. Thirty-three students from various sections of the country were selected for this high scholastic honor. Shaffer is the only student from Massachusetts selected this year.
Shaffer has been an outstanding student and had won several honors. He was the youngest freshman in his class. He was active in the Menorah Society and had worked in the Boston Public Library to support himself through college.
