About 25 Jews are standing as candidates for the London County Council elections, which take place on Thursday, March 5th. The candidates of the Municipal Reform Party (Whose Leader, Lord Jessel, is a Jew ) include Sir Percy C. Simmons in the City of London; Sir Cecil B. Levita, in Kensington; Mr. A. Clavering, in St. Pancras; and Mr. S. Gluckstein, in Westminster.

The Liberal Party is putting forward Mrs. E. J. C. Nathan, the wife of Major H. L. Nathan, M.P., and Mr. Percy A. Harris, in Bethnal Green, Miss Nettie Adler, the daughter of the late Chief Raboi Dr. Hermann Adler, in Hackncy; and Miss Ida Samuel in Lambeth. The Labour candidates include Mr. Harry Day, M. C. and Mr. L. Silkin, in Southwark Mr. M. H. Davis, the Mayor of Stepney, (who is President of the Federation of Synagogues) Mr. D. Frankel and Mr. H. Lazarus, both ex. Mayors of Stepney in that constituency; Mr. M. Orhach in Bethnal Green; Mr. H. Samuels in Fulham; Mr. J. Gaster in St. Marylebone; Mr. A. E. Samuels in St. Pancras; Dr. S. W. Jeger, former Mayor of Shoreditch in Shoreditch; Mr. G. R. Straus, M. P. in Lamboth, and Mr. B. Dvorkovitz in Kensington. Miss Miriam Moces is standing as an Independent candidate in Stepney.
