The centuries-old and long unused Jewish cemetery in the woods near Hoehr-Grenzhausen, not far from here, was recently broken into and desecrated. The local police, in contrast with the usual practice in such cases, arrested a 15-year-old local youngster, who confessed that he had committed the deed “for sport.” He was reprimanded by his school principal and, after a trial before the juvenile court, let off with an admonition.
