A Jewish cemetery in Minsk has been desecrated, according to Jewish sources in the Soviet Union. A tablet in memory of Jewish martyrs which bore the inscription “We shall not forget nor forgive” was defaced. The word “Jews” was scribbled across the tablet. Local Jews, who complained to an official, were told the desecration was a Zionist provocation.
