Jewish citrus growers in Palestine lost over $40,000,000 during the war because shipping conditions made it impossible to transport their products, the Jewish Farmers Association revealed at a press conference here.

Appealing for immediate financial assistance from the Palestine Government “for one of the most important branches of Palestine economics,” the association pointed out that in addition to the above loss, 40,000 dunams of citrus orchards were irreparably ruined during the war.
