A bill establishing special state benefits for all Italian clergymen, including Jews providing welfare fund and old-age insurance, was adopted here today by the Parliament’s Labor and Interior committees, and sent to the House for possible early approval.
The draft of the measure, as at first drawn, was amended by the Government’s representatives in the committees so that the bill specifically includes “non-Catholic ministers.”
