Several individual Jewish communities in Italy have received invitations from the Italian Committee for an International Conference for a Peaceful Solution of the German Problem to join in deliberations of the body.
However, the Union of Italian Jewish Communities has asked the recipients of the invitations to hold up acceptance pending further study by the Union. The Union will issue a policy statement in reference to the conference because it deals with problems which are international in scope rather than specifically Italian.
