A Jewish Community has been formed in Seville with the permission of the Civil Governor who authorized the establishment of a synagogue there.
Eighteen Jewish families have joined the Community which has affiliated itself with the Barcelona Community, headed by Rabbi Friedmann.
This is the second attempt to set up a communal organization in Seville. In 1915 a Jewish Community was established, and subsequently disbanded because the Jews were compelled to leave the city owing to the severe economic conditions.
