Dr. Israel Goldstein was honored for 25 years of continuous service as president of the Jewish Conciliation Board of America at a ceremony here yesterday attended by Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas and Brig, Gen. David Sarnoff.
Also present at the affair were hundreds of Jews who had figured in the 6,000 “cases” heard and settled by the conciliation service in its 30 years of existence. A scroll of appreciation was presented to Dr. Goldstein by Louis Richman, executive secretary of the board, who has served as a volunteer in that capacity since the service was organized.
