A pledge to send at least $3,000,000 in relief supplies to the Soviet Union this year was made last night by 2,000 delegates of Jewish organizations to the fifth annual conference of the Jewish Council for Russian War Relief, which met at the Astor Hotel.
Speakers at the conference included Dr. Stephen S. Wise, president of the American Jewish Congress; Ilya Khrenburg, famed Soviet war correspondent and author now touring the United States; Louis Levine, national chairman of the Council, and Acting Soviet Consul-General Vasili Kazenev. Prof. Albert Einstein sent a message to the conference voicing support of its aims.
