Peter Wiernik, editor of the “Jewish Morning Journal”, devotes a lengthy editorial to the “Jewish Daily Bulletin” in the Dec. 11 issue of his paper. Mr. Wiernik says among other things:
“The Jewish Daily Bulletin’ is small in size and expresses itself on all subjects as briefly as possible. But we can see in it the nucleus of a daily Jewish paper in the English language, an institution which the Jews of America, particularly of New York, will feel the need of before long.
“This new arrival in the field of Jewish journalism appears six days a week: except Saturday! Mr. Jacob Landau, the publisher of the ‘Jewish Daily Bulletin’, deserves commendation for his excellent taste and his correct understanding of the Jewish spirit as it retlects itself in the near future. The great Jewish structure which is being built here as a wing of the vast American edifice, as a part of the monumental hall of harmony between races, nationalities, sects and classes, in which the future American will have its home, must be Jewish enough and decent enough to respect the Jewish religion. There are Jewish interests. Jewish curiosities and a Jewish point of view, in regard to matters in general as well as specifically Jewish matters. But the separatism is not justified without a religious background.”
