Marcel Dassault, designer of the Mystere and Ouragan Jet fighters has been awarded the Grand Cross of the French Legion of Honor. The award was conferred on the recommendation of the French cabinet. M. Dassault, who kept his resistance name after the war, was deported to Buchenwald by the Vichy regime. At that time he used his family name of Bloch.
