Jewish DP’s in a camp near Salzburg began a mass hunger strike today protesting the arrest of three Jews suspected of taking part in the derailment of a British troop train by a mine on Aug. 12.
Two displaced Jews were detained today and the third has been under arrest since the train was wrecked. The DP’s were arrested in the American zone of Austria, but it is believed that they will be turned over to the British authorities for questioning.
