Jewish Economist Named Dean of Georgetown University Department

Dr. William F. Notz, a prominent Jewish economist. Chief of the Export Trade Division of the Federal Trade Commission, has been appointed Dean of the School of Foreign Service of the Georgetown University.

The School of Foreign Service, which has an enrollment of 400, has the semi-official support of the U.S. Government and is The aim of this school primarily is to train men for diplomatic and consular service, and its faculty includes leading foreign diplomats and high political officials.

The appointment of Dr. Notz is considered especially significant in view of the fact that Georgetown is a Catholic Jesuit institution.
