A dinner in honor of Israel S. Chipkin, director of the Jewish Education Association of New York on the occasion of his return after an absence of more than a year in Europe and Palestine, and to Harry H. Liebovitz, treasurer of the Jewish Education Association who has also returned from an extended stay abroad, was held Wednesday night at the Biltmore Hotel, under the auspices of the Association. The toastmaster was Judge Otto A. Rosalsky. Among others who greeted the guests were Israel Unterberg, President of the Jewish Education Association; Bernard Semel. Honorary Secretary and Jacob Wener. Chairman of the Committee of One Hundred.
A membership campaign for the New York Federation for the Support of Jewish Philan thropic Societies will be launched Sunday night at the Hotel Commodore, when two thousand volunteer workers, representing 137 trades and professions, will gather to inaugurate the campaign.
