A large number of Jewish experts in child care will participate in the work of the White House Conference on Child Health and Protection which will meet here from Nov. 19 to 22. Secretary of the Interior Wilbur will preside. Jewish authorities on medical, welfare and educational subjects are included in the committee personnel of all four sections of the Conference.
FRANKEL ON PLANNING COMMITTEE
Lee K. Frankel, vice-president of the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, is a member of President Hoover’s Planning Committee for the Conference. Mrs. Henry Moskowitz, former chairman of the Committee on Amusement Resources for Working Girls in New York, is chairman of the sub-committee on Commercialized Recreation, while Mrs. Fred M. Stein is Associate Chairman of the sub-committee on Summer Vacation Activities of the School Child, of which sub-committee Joshua Lieberman is also a member. Lillian D. Wald, founder and head resident of the Henry Street Settlement in New York, will report on visiting nurses to the sub-committee on neighborhood agencies. Robert Ro-
senbluth is working with the institutional groups. Henry Morgenthau of New York is also a member of the youth sub-section. Mrs. Sidney Borg, chairman of the Jewish Big Sisters, is a member of the sub-committee on Girls’ Work.
DR. ADLER ON CHURCH COMMITTEE
Dr. Cyrus Adler represents the Jewish faith on the Committee on Churches. Rabbi Louis L. Mann of Sinai Congregation, Chicago, is on the Church and Sunday School Libraries Committee.
