Praise for a Jewish family in Pittsburgh, which has six sons in the American armed forces, was voiced on the floor of the House of Representatives by Congressman H. Eberharter of Pennsylvania, who emphasized that “this family offers a lesson” to many Americans.
The family, of which Samuel Grossman is the father, has four sons in active service in the Army and two sons in the Navy. “I take this opportunity to salute the six Grossman boys and also to salute their father and mother,” Rep. Eberharter said. “It seems to me that this family offers a lesson to many persons in this country. This family is offering practically everything they have or hope to have in the service of their country; six boys ready to go to the front, ready to make the supreme sacrifice, and so, again, I salute them.”
