Samuel I. Rosenman and Mark Hyman were elected trustees of the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies, to serve until 1934, at the annual meeting of the Federation held on Sunday.
Addresses were delivered at the meeting by former Judge Joseph M. Proskauer, president of the Federation, and Judge Martin T. Manton of the Circuit Court of Appeals.
Judge Manton praised the work of the Federation in its relation to the general scope of relief.
Mr. Proskauer hailed the successful culmination of the Federation’s drive for $3,923,000.
The following trustees were elected for a period of three years: David A. Ansbacher, Ralph E. Samuel, Percy S. Straus, Ludwig Vogelstein, William N. Cohen, Samuel Mundheim, Dr. H. G. Friedman and Mrs. Sidney C. Borg.
