Mobilization of all Jewish forces in America in behalf of Jewish education was urged Sunday night by speakers addressing 1,000 persons attending the fifteenth annual Chanukah dinner of the Jewish Education Association in the Hotel Astor.
Asking a “rebirth of interest in Jewish religious education,” Supreme Court Justice Samuel I. Rosenman said: “None of the three objectives of our present generation — democracy, social justice, peace — can be attained without a religion which gives a nation and a people a sense of justice and of moral purpose.”
Mark Eisner, chairman of New York’s Board of Higher Education, suggested a national conference to work out plans for a wider and more effective Jewish educational program in an effort “to give Jewish education its proper status in relation to the life of the whole American community,”

Through a typographical error in the Rotterdam story on the racial book issued in Munich, published in yesterday’s bulletin, it was made to appear that the book said “the German is more inclined to reach his aim by craftiness.” Actually the book was indirectly quoted as saying that “the German is more inclined to reach his aim by forceable means and the Jew by craftiness.”
