Four hundred delegates attending a meeting of New York Jewish fraternities at the Hotel Pennsylvania on Sunday pledged themselves to raise $50,000 during the coming year for the Jewish National Fund, for the purchase and reclamation of land in Palestine. Dr. Samuel Margoshes, editor of the Jewish Day, presided at the meeting.
Nathan D. Perlman, Grand Master of the Independent Order of B’rith Abraham, was one of the speakers, emphasizing the need for immediate action toward securing Jewish land in Palestine.
