Edward Baker, of Cleveland, has accepted the chairmanship of the program committee for the regional conference to be staged at Columbus, Ohio, Oct. 13 and 14, under the auspices of the National Council of Federations of Jewish Welfare Funds, according to the announcement by William J. Shroder, national president.
Others who have accepted invitations to serve on the committee include Maurice Bernon and Samuel Goldhamer, Cleveland; Samuel Mueller, Indianapolis; Edward J. Shanfarber, Columbus; Leo F. Westheimer, Cincinnati; Raymond C. Adler, Dayton; and Lewis W. Cole, Louisville.
A letter was sent by Mr. Shroder to Jewish communal leaders throughout Ohio and adjacent territory, including Pittsburgh, Detroit, Indianapolis and Louisville, inviting them to suggest topics for consideration by the program committee, and also urging them to attend the conference and to bring others from their respective communities to attend.
