A committee consisting of Hebrew writers, communal leaders and Jewish editors of this city has been formed to assist in the publication of the Hebrew illustrated monthly, Dorenu, published here.
The aim of the monthly is to bring literary and art creations of Jewish authors and artists to the attention of the younger generation of Hebrew readers. Dorenu also aims to stimulate a greater interest in Hebrew letters in Chicago and the Middle West.
A. Solodar, well-known Hebrew poet, is editor. Members of the committee are Joseph H. Platt, chairman; Rabbi A. E. Abramowitz, Meyer Abrams, Rabbi. Samuel M. Blumenfield, A. K. Epstein. Dr. S. Fagin, Dr. Leo L. Honor, Jacob Krause, Dr. J. Marcus, Rabbi S. Felix Mendelsohn, Sol Rosenthal, Max Shulman, Jonah Spivak, Rabbi Morris Teller, Dr. Meyer Waxman and Dr. A. B. Yudelson.
