Jewish groups today asked the British Government to emulate the action of American military authorities in Germany with regard to restitution and compensation to political, racial and religious persecutes.
The Jewish organizations submitted a request to the Foreign Office asking the government to use its good offices for the promulgation of a restitution and compensation law in the British zone of Germany corresponding to the law recently promulgated in the American zone. The Jewish groups point out that the present restitution law in the British zone concerns only such property as can be identified by its owners.
