Two Jewish organizations in Leeds and the Leeds Public Assistance Committee have been asked to give up about $500 each left to them by Eli Daichos, American merchant, formerly of Leeds, who was murdered in Chicago three years ago.
An American attorney has requested the committee, the Leeds Board of Jewish Guardians and a synagogue of which Daiches’ 87-year-old father is rabbi, to forego their legacies in favor of the murdered man’s relatives. No decisions have been announced.
