A decision to press for the appointment of a United Nations attorney-general to sift and place before the Human Rights Commission petitions from individuals or groups was adopted here today at a meeting of the governing body of the Consultative Council of Jewish Organizations, which is composed of the American Jewish Committee, Anglo-Jewish Association and Alliance Israelite Universelle.
The conference also agreed to maintain a “strict vigilance” on migration question–not only the migration of Jews but also the migration of other groups to countries where their presence may affect Jewish citizens. It is understood that this decision refers to the migration of Volksdeutsche Germans to Australia and other countries.
