Jewish groups denounced President Bush’s signature of a bill banning “partial birth” abortion. Hadassah called the ban on the controversial late-term procedure “a chilling step in the ongoing assault on reproductive freedom.” The National Council of Jewish Women and the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism also condemned the signing of the bill into law on Wednesday.
