Jewish groups mourned the death of the U.N. high commissioner for human rights, who died in a bombing Tuesday in Baghdad. The death of Sergio Vieira de Mello, along with at least 16 others in the blast at the U.N. building, is a “huge loss to the international community,” the Anti-Defamation League said in a statement. The Simon Wiesenthal Center described the bombing as “another horrific reminder that terrorists are the enemies of peace and the very values that the United Nations was founded on.”
