The entire social and economic work hitherto conducted by the Central Ausschuss, the central committee of German Jews, will be incorporated into the activities of the Reichsvertretung, the supreme Jewish representative body of Germany, beginning with April 1, it was officially announced today.
This important reorganization is a result of the successful negotiations concluded this week between the Reichsvertretung and the Central Ausschuss. It means that the entire relief work, the emigration activities, the welfare work, as well as the work of adjusting the German Jews to new professions and finding employment for them will be concentrated in the hands of the Reichsvertretung.
Simultaneously, it was announced today that a Jewish youth day would be proclaimed on March 10, for the first time since the establishment of the Federation of German Jewish Youth Organizations. A special conference of delegates from Jewish youth groups all over the country will take place here to lay the foundation for the future activities of the Jewish youth in Germany, in connection with the vital problems arising for Jewish youth.
Jewish youth organizations rep-resenting all shades and opinions will participate in this conference, the announcement says.
