The Jewish High School of Budapest–one of the best educational institutions in the Hungarian capital–has been taken over by the Hungarian Government, according to reports reaching here today. The school’s teachers, the reports said, will be assigned to other posts, in accordance with the official nationalization policy.
The “Tarbut” Hebrew school in Budapest was taken over by the government last year and all of the school’s Jewish teachers have been replaced by Christian instructors. Hebrew is no longer part of the Tarbut school’s curriculum, the reports reaching here stated.
