The 50th anniversary of the Jewish Historical Society of Great Britain was celebrated here today at a gathering addressed by distinguished Jewish and non-Jewish scholars. Among the speakers were Sir John Clapham, president of the Royal Academy; Cecil Roth, prominent Jewish historian, who is president of the Society; and Prof. Stanton, president of the Royal Historical Society.
