Three hundred and nineteen immigrants entered Palestine during the month of August. Two hundred and seventeen left the country during the same period, according to figures made public here today. Among the immigrants were 265 Jews, 51 Christians and 3 Moslems. Sixty-one of the emigrants were Jews, 30 Christains and 22 Moslems.
Among those who left were 90 Jewish settlers and 14 Christians who arrived after June 1920.
Cash receipts of the Palestine government for the first seven months of the current year amounted to £1,268,250 (approximately $6,341,250), according to figures made public today in the Official Gazette. Payments by the government amounted to £1,021,534 (approximately $5,107,670) leaving a surplus of £246,716 ($1,233,580.)
