An equal number of Jews came to Palestine last year as left the country, according to figures made public for 1928.
During the past year the total immigration of Jews to the country amounted to 2,178, while the number who left the country was also 2,178.
Figures compiled for the years 1926-1928, the three-year period of the economic crisis in the country, show that there was a net gain of 3,357 in the Jewish population through immigration. While the number who entered amounted to 17,971 for the three years, those who left the country totalled 14,614.
