Jewish industrial enterprises in Palestine manufactured $60,000,000 worth of commodities during the last year and are now producing at even a greater rate, it was announced here today by the Institute for Economic Research of the Jewish Agency. Non-Jewish industrial production in Palestine during the same period was about one-fourth the Jewish production.
A delegation headed by Isaac Ben-Zvi and Mayor Rokach today visited the Government offices and submitted to the Palestine Administration the resolution adopted at various meetings in the Yishub urging the Government to combat profiteering and the high cost of living. The delegation also discussed the sum which the Palestine Government is to contribute towards the social welfare budget of the Jewish National Council.
