A bequest of $75,000 for the planting of trees in Israel was disclosed here yesterday when the will of retired New England industrialist Abraham Serlin was filed here for probate. Mr. Serlin died on January 17 at a resort hotel in Lakewood.
A memorial forest of 40,000 trees to be called “Yaar A braham” in memory of Mr. Serlin, will be planted by the Jewish National Fund near Jerusalem. Mr. Serlin, who was 80 years old at the time of his death, also left $1,500 to have his body sent to Israel for burial near Jerusalem.
