Dr. Stephen S. Wise, acting president of the Jewish Institute of Religion, 68th Street and Central Park West, announced yesterday that the faculty of that institution would be shortly joined by Dr. David Yellin, head of the Teacher’s Institute of Jerusalem, who would give courses in Hebrew and on the Bible, and by Dr. Henry Slonimsky, formerly of the Hebrew Union College of Cincinnati, who will occupy the Chair of Ethics and the Philosophy of Religion.
Dr. Yellin, who is a Hebrew and Rabbinic scholar of high distinction will serve as a visiting member of the Institute during 1924-25.
