Mr. Aaron Zeitlin, President of the Jewish Pen Club, and Dr. Gottlieb, President of the Jewish Journalists Association, have intervened with the Roumanian Embassy here on learning of the arrest of Mr. Jacob Botaschanski, the editor of the Yiddish daily “Presse” of Buenos Aires, on his arrival on the Roumanian frontier from Poland, in order to lecture at Czernowitz on Jewish life in the Argentine. The Roumanian Embassy here has promised to raise the matter with the Roumanian Government.
