Senators Herbert H, Lehman and Hubert H. Humphrey were honored here last night by the Jewish Labor Committee for their efforts in behalf of liberalization of the McCarran- Walter Immigration Act,

Sen. Lehman told the rally that he did not think the McCarran law would be changed at this session of Congress. Philip B. Perlman, former U.S. Solicitor General and onetime head of President Truman’s Commission on Immigration, said the Administration’s emergency immigration program was not working out well be-cause it had adopted all the restriction of the McCarran legislation and added some others of its own.
